Episode 003: Scary Stories and Ghost Art
After a long break, Kellie and Shade reunite to share stories of the ghosts they are following in the media and the news. We start 2022 off strong with ghost comedies, horror, and historical research. We have new recommendations for ghost stories for kids, teens, and adults this week.
GHOSTS IN THE MEDIA
This week, Kellie watched Scary Stories To Tell in the Dark. She talks about the original book, the ghosts, and the team behind the 2019 thriller (currently on Netflix).
Kellie also tries the productivity app Time Ghost, used to track time for Microsoft 365 users.
In kids’ media, Shade covers the Disney+ animation The Ghost and Molly McGee as well as the the beautifully written and illustrated book Gustavo the Shy Ghost.
For teen and adult animation, we talked about the new show Teenage Euthanasia from creators Alissa Nutting and Alyson Levy.
In ghost comedy, we discuss the shows Ghosts (UK and US) versions, as well as the What We Do in the Shadows spinoff, Wellington Paranormal!

The Eight Kings Pub in Dorset takes the conversation to England and a haunted pub. Originating from The Daily Mirror, a British national daily tabloid newspaper, John Bett interviews the Eight Kings owners about the spirits who have been inconvenienced by the updating renovations to the pub. Do the owners need an exorcism?

As shown here, The British Museum acquired a 3500-year-old Babylonian tablet depicting a ghost and including instructions on how to rid a space of an unwanted spirit.
